Dawn Van Ark

Dawn Van Ark joined the cello section of the Grand Rapids Symphony in 1974. A native of Holland, Michigan, she graduated from Hope College with an A.B. in Psychology. Her cello teachers included Robert Ritsema, Evelyn Elsing, and Ross Harbough. Ms. Van Ark is a member of the Bogaard String Quartet based in Holland.
 
Since graduating from college, Ms. Van Ark has worked for the Hope College Library as Acquisition Associate, purchasing all the books and other library materials. She also enjoys singing and performed several years with the early music vocal ensemble, The Consort of Voices. She currently shares her home with a Siamese cat, Mah-Li.
